Will Barclays HR reject yearly hike or bonus by saying below dialogue? "you are already having good package(CTC) as per your experience or as per market value, so we are not giving you any yearly hike or bonus for this year."

Hi UK Fish, going into a promotion (from C to SC) and raise discussion tomorrow at a boutique consulting firm. Currently at 62.5k. Bonus was up to 10% but all I got was a measly 2%, slow pipeline maybe but I wasn't told why (will raise tomorrow). A recent acquisition has resulted in losing our annual xmas week off and a learning budget of 1k. I know for a fact that last year they were looking to hire SCs at 70k. Is a base raise to 75k a fair ask?

I’m coming up on my manager promotion in the next couple months, but have gotten an IA Manager offer with great pay bump/yearly bonus/RSUs at a decent size public company. Role scope will be both SOX & Operations, will this be a good path to Controller/CFO? I don’t want to get stuck in IA forever, but I would think the level of operational experience would be good and pivoting out wouldn’t be too hard after a year or two. Thoughts?

Thinking about an early career "reset" but a bit apprehensive. I graduated last year and started with Deloitte in RFA in Sep. and found out soon that I disliked the work. So I had applied to PwC FDD Associate (basically a campus hire) in Feb. and got the offer which I accepted. My logic was that I could start in Mar/Apr and so didn't really care about wasting ~6 months at D, but the recruiter has told me the earliest I could start was July. Not sure if worth trying to come in as an A2 instead.
