Negotiating an offer with Amazon Canada. I'm based in Hong Kong (bank,director,12y). My base 1.08m HKD which translates to 180k CAD/140k USD. To count for tax diff (here: 15%, Canada: 40%), +40% to break even. I'm expecting +20% raise which can come from RSU. So: 180 * 1.4 = 252k CAD for base and 50k CAD for RSU. From glassdoor, this seems to be off the chart so what am I missing? If not for this then what role should I look for FAANG in US or Canada for this range?

anyone have experience with the Epic programming assessment? I did the first assessment which was logic/math based but I got emailed saying I now need to complete the programming assessment? It says it’s four problems. I haven’t even done an interview yet other than the role introduction and I’m being asked to do 8hrs of assessments? Can anyone help with what to expect from this second assessment? THANK YOU (I really want this job—I think)
It’s more the other way around. The lower GPA you have, the more effort you might need to put into networking to showcase your potential from other perspectives. GPA is only one thing among hundreds of others that recruiters look at so no need to feel discouraged in any sense.
Suggest applying some common sense here.
Outside of college, hiring isn’t an exact science. You could have a 1.8 and if a partner refers you, best believe you’re getting in. Inversely, you can have a 4.0 with an entry level referral and not get the time of day.

Agree with JP Morgan 1.
Also you attend Dartmouth. Use the alum network.
Finally, I don’t hire free interns because it’s against my philosophy. But plenty of people do. Do you need to get paid?
