Just joined a smaller firm who uses Paychex for their 401k provider. I noticed they do not offer too many options for funds to invest in and seems lower end than my prior Schwab 401k offered. 1) Anyone have experience with Paychex and have similar observations? 2) I’m leaning towards doing enough 401k pretax contribution on Paychex to get the company match and then do the rest as a Roth IRA to obtain better investments. Any other options I’m not thinking of?
Any healthcare industry people have clients who have outsourced their medical billing department? Looking for some ideas/recommendations on what outsource companies are used and whether you’ve seen good/bad outcomes from your client doing so. TY.

Thoughts on GE Healthcare? GE Healthcare appears to be expanding rapidly and recruiting aggressively. Their impending IPO looks to paint a promising future.
I've been putting my 401k into a target date fund, but the risk/upside just isn't high enough given I'm not retiring for another 30 years. Thoughts on putting it all in a large-cap growth fund (VIGIX)? Returns have been solid over last 10 years. Investing through work, so don't have all funds available to me.

Is it better to roll current traditional 401k (Merrill lynch) into new firms 401k (fidelity) or roll into traditional IRA instead (also with fidelity)? I want to FIRE. IRA and 401k are beyond my definition of the ‘RE’ idea since they can only be withdrawn without penalty at 55. Is the only other way to save for retiring at 40-55 an individual brokerage account and just accept the tax upon withdrawal?
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)

How do you guys figure out your spending and saving rates/goals? Obviously there's some common sense rules (max out 401k contributions, don't be so stingy you only start really living when you're old and rich), but do you guys have any advice for a 22 y/o on how to allocate my money in ways that'll maximize happiness over the long run? I want to build good habits early so it's easy to stick to them and would love any tips or advice

I am switching jobs and my wife is pregnant. We will have health insurance with my new employer but my wife found some article suggesting we may not get pregnancy coverage under new insurance because they will recognize it as a preexisting condition. Can anyone assuage my concern and let me know if there’s any validity to this? Are we screwed..
