Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

It's never too late to leave for a pay bump, with some caveats.
Leaving as a manager, senior manager or above will likely require your existing skillset. So if you are a corporate tax senior manager, your landing zone will probably have to be in corporate tax if you want a decent pay bump. If you leave as an associate or senior, it will be easier to find a higher paying industry job that doesn't require you to stay in tax or audit.
The field is wide and varied. Industry comp is extreme in its variability and the calculation can get complicated when equity based comp comes into the picture. The bottom line here is that some places will pay less than PA, some places more and some places less but more if the stock value goes up.
Thank you. Very helpful
I think m2 is a sweet spot if you want to stay focused on your prior experience. So if industry international tax manager or senior manager is your goal the pay bump should be really significant (ideally >30%)
