Hello Nooglers, is it possible to internally switch at Google from TSE (AI/ML) to core ML domain? If yes, how and how much time a person would require to work at TSE position? I received interview call for TSE position so I was wondering if this could be a possibility or not.

After 1 busy season as a senior
I'd say Senior 1 or 2 because you have that on your resume
Depends what your looking for. My thought is that at senior you will have the most options cause everyone needs someone to do the work. On the other side if you make manager, your move will be more lucrative
Manager
Senior manager here - heavy manager / light senior manager. You learn a lot leading up to that point so you really beef up your technical. At least for me, after that, there is a lot more sales / client responsibilities so that skill set is not as useful in private. Also - pay jump for leaving is not as good
At least manager for a real bump in pay. A couple of years as mgr best
Manager
Depends on the life you want to lead. Get three years under your belt, but hell, it really depends. Are you going out on your own? Then it doesn’t matter. If you want to get the most bang foe your buck career-wise, go out as a manager, but not a senior manager or else they’ll think you couldn’t promote to partner...
If you're already working at Big4, you waited too long to leave. :-)
