Can someone rejoin TCS
Hi Fishes, I got an offer from Infosys and my joining date is on March 1st. . Since my current employer didn't accept my resignation as I was in emergency leave, I will need to serve notice period until April 1st. . Will Infosys postpone my Joining date by a month considering this valid reason. Please share your thoughts to take this decision!!! Thank you in Advance!!Infosys

Generally SC and M are the best inflection points for exits

Leaving after 9 years!
Manager level and then maybe SC. I’m kind of stuck in consulting.
My exit options are few and far between. With my experience and comp expectation, I’m looking to exit as VP or maybe SD. These positions don’t pop up that often. Besides I’m competing against someone who’s already in similar capacity and has had more direct experience and managed a larger team. My experience and JD need to match almost perfect for me to have a serious shot. I have been looking to leave consulting for over a year now. Also it doesn’t help that I’m looking to exit to tech (around L7 level) and I don’t have strong exposure to the industry.

Unhappiness is very costly — jump whenever you want to.

Manager with one year under your belt.
The stress of Senior Manager is not adequately offset by your pay in many cases. Also, you're not significantly more tenured (assuming you're coming from undergrad or MBA) so your exits won't be massively better
Leaving at Analyst/Consultant generally doesn't yield you big raises unless you exit into PE. FAANG is an option but your Manager exits will be better

4 years has been prime for me so far
Incredible but I didn’t have that issue at Accenture or Deloitte either tbh. I think I either underachieved or got lucky. Mix of both maybe.

Manager 2nd or 3rd year
Haha. Look at all these Directors locked in! (Including myself)
