At what net worth does it make sense to get a financial advisor?

I recommend getting a fee only financial advisor, they do not make money off of selling you different products so not conflicting interest. A fee only advisor knows they need to do well to keep your business.

Many of these will have minimum asset requirements depending on their clientele and amount of assists they manage.

Agree with JPM. If you are clueless in the markets and paying an advisor will be the kick in the pants to get you fully invested then I am all for it. If you have a good handle on DIY then I don’t think you need one until you have to worry about trusts and the like. They can offer tons of value in terms of long term strategies to keep Uncle Same out of your pockets.

Depends on your comfort level w/ money.

Agree all depends on your comfort with self investing. You should at least know the basics on tax deferred investing etc. I'm doing fine with my vanguard funds and individual stocks and we're nearing the 2MM mark in NW. Would maybe use an advisor for estate and legacy planning, etc. b/c I'm not as well versed on that.

A fiduciary is what you’d be looking for. And idk because I’m on at ~175k but maybe 500k-1M?

You don’t need a certain net worth to get and advisor. An advisor is pretty much just going to help you set a financial plan for your future and recommend some products that can help you get there.

Nobody cares more about your money than you do.

Strongly recommend doing some self study and managing yourself. It's something you should know and it will to save you money, potentially a lot.

If you get one I agree with above- it should be a fee only fiduciary. Maybe do 1-2 appointments to get started but after that I would self-manage.

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.
