If they are making small mistakes, educate them on how to improve. If they are a liability, flag it to management. If they are not pulling their weight and it's impacting your capacity, speak to your manager.
If it is a big mistake, I would escalate it. If its something that can be handled amongst peers, it shouldn't be reported. If someone is making the same mistake over and over that shoud probably also be reported.
Small ways are only necessary to report if it's becoming a liability or preventing your team from making progress. Otherwise, I believe in keeping your head down and minding your business. However, if they're reporting each other they may be reporting you, so watch out for that.
