At what point in your reception are you doing father/daughter and mother/son dances?

Hello! I’m only about 4 weeks pregnant, so super early. I am about to go on vacation and thankfully did a quick search on some “dos and donts” for the first trimester. I am v disappointed to see I shouldn’t do saunas and hot tubs as my vacation was really planned to be all relaxation. But it got me thinking, could you all share the most surprising pregnancy do or don’t you’ve encountered? I feel like I just need a master list cause there seem to be so many limitations 😭

Ladies, what does your out of office message while on maternity leave say? Not sure if I should say I’m on maternity leave or just use my regular ooo message.

I had to leave my previous job and I’m currently job hunting, but I just found out on Monday that I’m 4 weeks pregnant. Has anyone started a new job while pregnant? I’m worried about starting a new role and having to take maternity leave so soon after.

Wife and kid are going to be out of town for the next 2 weeks. Instead of wasting time, I’d like to do something productive. What would you do if you have say 3+ hours a day. Maybe self help, wealth creation type books, work out daily, take care of some things around the house.

My mother was in a collision. Other driver admitted fault. Her vehicle needed and entirely new frame. She lost 9 days of work. She is treating with chiro on lean. She has not spoken to the other drivers insurance at all. Chiro said they will tell me when she is “done” treating. At what point should I reach out to the other insurance’s adjuster? And what should I say other than she is still treating?

Do firms generally pro-rate billable hours required for a bonus if you take parental leave? Or does it completely depend on the firm?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

My spouse has made it clear to me that they no longer support me working in biglaw and want me to find a job with more reasonable hours. They were supportive early in my career and when we had one child, but our second was born a couple of years ago and all the additional work they put in at home, the lack of family time and lack of couples time is becoming a big strain on our marriage. I need some legit feedback on what is it like to be a UXD at companies like Accenture?
They claim to do a lot of research oriented designs, as everyone. But is that really the case or it's like some other service based companies where the UX is almost vague, and happens mostly based on what the managers think to be good?

Does UX have any value or it's just drafting wireframes based on ideations by the managers and then UI designs?
