Hi Dear Fishes, 😔 I feel sad. I've been skinny shamed all my life, i went to a gym today for membership and a guy pointing the bench press said "tu isey uthayega ya ye tujhe" felt so humiliating. I really wanna improve my body and bulk up but scared to face the gym, and such people. If you have any suggestions for me please comment. Just because you WANT to roll off doesn’t mean you can. You’d really be jumping the gun and possibly creating issues if you commit to another project before having the roll off conversation. If there’s a role that you want, then use that as part of the case for your roll off but don’t commit to anything. I’d put together a case for why your current project isn’t the best fit for you but be prepared for it to not matter
Great advice ^^^

Yes, like EY1 said. You need to ensure you can roll off. It can cause issues if you are not honest. Also, the new lead may want to confirm your experience and performance prior to bringing you on with your current supervisor.
There’s really no good time. From personal experience, it’s easier to change orgs/pillars (whatever your firm calls them 🙄) than it is to roll off projects. So my suggestion is to think about why you’re leaving. If it’s just because you don’t like your project/manager then try to address that on the project if you haven’t already before looking elsewhere. If you wanna do something DIFFERENT, really think about whether or not leaving the project will solve for that. It may be time to go to a different org and be aligned with other folks who do the work youre interested in doing.
thanks guys for helping a noob out 🙏
