What’s a typical AE salary in NYC?

Anyone in here with a masters degree on the business side of entertainment? What type of salary do you usually negotiate for as a coordinator or manager or director?

I could see some epamers mentioning fully fixed pay from epam systems, but I was offered with fixed + var structure. Could anyone comment if salary structure varies from person to person.

Someone referred me for a job. I got the job. They got the referral bonus. Should I give them any gift or something as a thank you? Or would that be seen as inappropriate?

How does HR/Comp at your companies feel about disclosing salary ranges to candidates? I know pretty much all of my peers feel it would make the candidate's experience better and our jobs easier, since no one would be wasting their time. I've heard some arguments in favor of not disclosing, and there is a certain degree of logic behind some of them, but I'm wondering what those arguments at your companies, and if it's something you feel is warranted or not.

Maybe some perspective might be of use to me. I’m transitioning out of the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive in the market. I’ve got two offers from great companies. I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?

Working all day Sunday after a long week because partner promised client an F-1 draft that I had 3 days to complete with a full additional workload since we’ve lost all except one other mid/senior. i gotta an offer from AMEX for band 30 for the role of Infrastructure Engineer and I've a 3 years of experience. They've given me 13 LPA as base salary and 90,000 for variable as yearly bonus and 1 LPA for PF & Gratuity. So, total 14.9 LPA.
Is my offer is a reasonable one in AMEX or I should try more ?

What is the bonus structure at your law firm? Associate hour requirement at my firm is 1850, for every hour over that you get your billable rate (i.e. if your rate is $200/hr you get $200 for each hour over 1850). To me this seems like its just overtime pay. Is this typical?

As a non-Western (ie not Asian-American or equivalent) Asian person, I kind of find it a bit weird that AAs talk of Asia as their homeland, especially when they hardly speak the language/ spend the time there. Wonder if there’s any parallel to how the real Africans feel about fetishisation of Africa by African-Americans, or how Italians would laugh at Americans who brag about their “Italian Mama” who maybe had a grandad from Naples.
