I fee like 7-8pm to 12-1am are my prime hours and my brain works so much faster. mornings are such a waste (and by that I don’t mean really early but rather late morning). it seems that I am most focused after i’ve had enough in my day and ready to just sit down and work peacefully

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.

Bought a beautiful home three years ago. It's in a great area that has seen an amazing growth over the last three years. Energy in the house just does not feel like it's "me"-even after three years. Thoughts on commuting 1-1.5 hour 3 days/week vs 15mins 5 days/week?

I'm considering a new job at a company that would require 3 days a week in office (might be able to talk them down to 2 days), but they're relatively far away. I'd be looking at a 20% pay increase, working in an industry I find much more interesting (firearms), and better vertical growth compared to where I am now. I just moved into a new house a few months ago, so moving again isn't an option.

Does it seem worth the commute?
