Typically you will pick up Consultant after 1-1.5 years as a Senior Associate, assuming you’re talking about the US. The SA role is somewhat unusual at BCG US. Direct hire As don’t do that role; they get promoted C 2-2.5 years out of undergrad.

~4; need to be a strong candidate since otherwise can just promote pre-MBA hires from within

I’m talking about US. I made it to decision round last year but blew one of the cases :(

I don’t know anyone who came in at a C without an MBA. Maybe they’re out there though.

Current S1 here. Is it okay if my resume experience is just: B4 Internship > Associate > Senior? (All in the same firm/practice) Never done other internships. The only other thing I could include is a student assistant job I had in college. Not sure if that's even relevant. Guess just the progression at this 1 firm is enough? Just looks a bit incomplete on the resume.

Senior up for promo to manager in audit in next year. Have decided I do not want to be an auditor. Which of these paths do you think is best? 1. Stay 1 more year, exit to industry with manager title. 2. Move to advisory internally, but most likely would have to do one more year in audit and move as audit manager to advisory sr 3. Exit immediately into industry to try for accounting manager title / senior accountant or sr fin analyst 4. Exit immediately to advisory senior at another big 4 firm

Now that the CDC says no masks needed indoors if vaccinated, is anybody concerned what that means for kids under 12? I’m assuming that the honor system isn’t entirely going to work (I.e., some unvaccinated people will go maskless). I don’t want my 5 and 7 year olds around unvaccinated unmasked strangers, but it’s also a bummer to stop taking them places. Not that I was taking them that many places, but the occasional grocery store, shoe store, etc. seems riskier now.
