A7 that is my struggle too. I’ve embraced the concept of riding things out until they push me out but I’m struggling in practice with coasting. My anxiety also gets me every time.

If anything I started thinking I wasn’t cut out for it and somehow I’m one of the last few people standing so either I’m cut out for it or too stupid to realize I’m not.

Lord help me if I stumble into partnership somehow smdh

First week. In response to a question regarding boundaries during training, a partner replied, "Well, we pay you a lot." Made the whole arrangement crystal clear.

I can't work for you 24-7. I just can't. So I'm moving to a government position after less than a year with the firm.

My old side piece and I have been over for a minute now. It was fun until we fell for each other. We are both 'happy'in our current relationships. We took a break from talking, it seemed like we were both still sensitive about the past and still have love for each other. Recently, he reached out and voiced that he wants to talk more. He video chat me, and now texts frequently. But he only texts when he's at work or in his car, when his girlfriend isn't around. Does this mean anything?

I started in big law M&A 8 months ago and I’m super miserable. I don’t love the work or the stress/anxiety that comes with deal work. I also feel like I’m not picking up on it as fast as my peers/able to juggle as many deals at once as the firm would like. I’m thinking about making a switch to in house work, preferably commercial contact work. Seems like the hours and stress would be more manageable in that type of role. Any advice or insight?

While I would stick it out through closing of this first deal, is there a graceful way of getting out of doing the rest of the series?
