It really does depend on two things:
1) How much do you trust your friends because sitting across from unmasked people for extended periods of time is dangerous
2) Which restaurant you pick. Some have more socially distanced tables than others
Having said that, I will not be comfortable dining indoors any time soon

Lunch is a better time to go if you don’t want to be seated in a crowded place. I’m not personally convinced that some restaurants are truly social distancing. I also wear my mask until the food gets to the table.
What??? People have been eating outside in NYC for decades. COVID is making life in NYC not typical...
People have different tolerance of risk and multiple intrinsic and extrinsic factors driving that tolerance. Scary to you is unconscionable to some, normal to me and cautious to others.
Yes, I have less fear outside. Not doing that indoors stuff though.
I eat outside, but I never sit on the sidewalk.
If you don’t feel safe, then stay home. As simple as that.
Yeah. I will probably get roasted for this — If you do it, then accept the risk that comes with it and enjoy it.
I will never force you to come out and understand that you might have health reasons for not doing it.
Its not fun going out with a person who will spend the full time we’re out talking about how uncomfortable or unsafe this is.
Not comfortable so haven’t done it yet. Feels like I am in the minority, but content here!
Do what works for you :) no right or wrong (except not wearing a mask)
