What engineering fields have the most opportunity for someone who wants to travel as part of their job?

We are looking to travel to the Caribbean in December. The goal is to stay at an all inclusive resort for around $4k, including travel. Any ideas of good places? We were thinking Jamaica, Curaçao, ect

Need some advice on renting here in ATX.

Back in May 2021, I rented a property that had sustained damage during the big snow storm. This wasn't disclosed at lease signing. The home leaked every time it rained, mold was found in the home & the LL failed to make repairs that resulted in me falling down a flight of stairs. Chief Concern: "Best of both worlds" in engineering can mean compromises and complications, which can mean non-resilient/unreliable. But I'm no gearhead, so not sure if I'm making massive incorrect assumptions.

I have tried absolutely everything I can think of to limit distractions during the work day and none of it has worked. Working from home has only made it 100 times worse because now I know there are other more interesting things to be distracted by all around me. What do you do to hold focus during working hours? What will get me to be able to work for longer than 35 minutes without getting distracted?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
