my client load consists of privately held companies with 10-90m in revenues. I pretty much have 4 month long audits Jan-April and then 6-15 small projects for the rest of the year. I'm starting my 5th busy season and am focusing on real estate and health care (yellow book) clients, but I have experience in M&D, investment companies, 401ks, and nonprofits. Office culture is very flexible but expectations are high. I love it. We have 25 PTO days, 12 holidays, plenty of happy hours, and people are enjoyable to be around at best and tolerable at worst.
I work on small company audits 5m to 100m in revenue as well as fund audits. I have two public clients out of about 7. I have a longer busy season from jan to mid may but i get off every day at 7:30 dont work sundays and not past 3 on Saturday. Fund audits are a bit boring and govt audits are terrible, so i feel as though it is a good nitch.
Depends on the group, location, and service line
Varies widely depending on the office, but I have had a mix of commercial and public sector/government. Culture is much more desirable in some offices than others.
