If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge for services not rendered. The Credit Card company should refund you.
Thanks @EA1 — legit just did this 🙌🏻

Assuming the business files bankruptcy (and isn't just folding withiut being bankrupt).....Generally, you would be an unsecured creditor and have to file a claim in the bankruptcy. You'd be in line behind the banks and other lenders that have secured debts (like mortgages and other debt with collateral). Odds of getting it out of the bankruptcy estate is slim.
If the business is just folding (not in bankruptcy) and not paying it back, you can file a claim in small claims court against the business/its owners.
Thanks @A1 that was my thinking too 🥺
Of course they likely went out of business because they were out of money to remain a going concern. Your small claims judgement would likely cost you more than you would get. Maybe you could try to garnish their wages once they pick up the pieces of their destroyed small business and livelihood? Why didn’t they plan out their pandemic cash flow strategy in late 2019 so you wouldn’t lose a nominal investment? It seems really shady of them.

Your attempted sarcasm is insane, while it’s a shame that business or irreparably affected by COVID, It’s still reasonable for OP to try to get their money back and they shouldn’t be shamed for it.
