AUD coming up in 2 days. Been getting 70-80 range on Becker personalized MC practice tests (not actual mock exams) - any input on my odds of passing based on experience?

Don’t worry about the odds. Just keep studying and take the exam.

Keep studying and you’ll be fine don’t ease up because of mock exam scores

My experience is that Becker is harder than the exam itself. Not sure what software you’re using so it may differ. To get the most out of points there should be a breakdown of your weakest areas, focus on those since you have the most opportunity to gain the most by improving those areas. Continue to do short quizzes even if you can’t do the full test, ie do flash cards as you brush ur teeth, answer multiple choice as you heat up lunch, etc

Took AUD two months ago and it was definitely easier than Becker’s

I always failed the Becker practice tests and passed each cpa exam first try. Keep studying and approach the exam with mamba mentality. 75% odds imo

Agree with both of these

Good luck, buddy! Don't ease up, pedal to the metal! You got this! I take my AUD exam tomorrow and I've been using Becker for studying, as well. I've used Becker for all of my exams. We've got this! 😄

You’ll never regret continuing to bang out MC right up to the test, that’s all AUD really takes IMO

Do sims. Got. 74 and 71 because of the sims.

Yeah I got a 74 on AUD first time. Focus on Sims. Is the +10 or +15 rule still a think for Becker? That is take your practice exam Becker score and add that to it? I was between 75-81 on practice exams before I passed and got an 82

Yep it still is a thing. AUD has the lowest bump (average +9 points) of the four parts. If interested, google “Becker vs actual 2020”; there is a really nice spreadsheet that shows how Becker scores line up to the actual exam scores.

Thanks everyone for the support! It seems based on my mock exam today (score was 69) and the “Becker Bump” I am on target to pass. Focusing on my weaker areas and continuing to just drill MCQ until I walk in to Prometric.

Was invited to apply for a lateral in another group at my company - transactional (I’m in lit now). I have a lot of experience in what I do now and am getting good development opportunities within my group. However, I’ve been passed over for a deserved promotion 3 times and am doing work two salary bands above where I am now. I enjoy the transactional work even though I have less experience in it, and it would be a great resume builder. I am not great with risk taking/change. Wwyd?

Very specific question - Canadian and European spouse travelling to Canada from Europe. However, spouse’s ETA not approved. Embassy told us all we need is proof of marriage and my citizenship (CDN passport) to travel. Asked embassy about ETA and they said “we don’t have an answer you should be fine”. Anyone with experience dealing with this during COVID? Should we try and fly?

How do you handle a spouse who doesn’t understand the stress of being an attorney? I recently switched to a new field of law, still insurance defense, but an entirely different practice. I’ve tried to explain why I’m drained, but my spouse just doesn’t understand why I’m so mentally exhausted. I don’t know what else to do.
