Do you want to have fun driving? BMW without question.
Do you want a nice looking interior? Lexus, but Audi out of your list.
Do you want expensive repairs on a boring drive with an interior that seems luxurious at first but over time reminds you of a Chrysler? Benz.

Just get an entry level S class.
My optimism: 3-series. No contest.
I drive all of them on a regular basis. Currently a S5, previous an E43 and C43.
I cross shopped for the three cars you are looking at. My next car will be a M340i (Touring). For me it is the sweet spot: fun to drive, not to chunky/heavy/large, very practical, decent quality, good tech - and I like the general look and feel inside-out.
If I wanted something larger, it‘d be a 5-series (530d, I guess). If I did not have family, it would be a M2 competition or 6-cylinder Cayman.
I keep ending up with BMW or Porsche. The other two make nice cars, but for me BMW wins hands down. (Disclaimer: I‘m German and live in Germany - that’s why I heavily focus on those cars)
Additional:
The 3 series is all new. C-class is end of life and A4 is also getting old. Might be possible to get a good deal on the latter two. If not: 3 series all the way.
(Note on the S5: it is very comfortable and nice in every aspect. But it sucks at being a sports car. High body roll, high lag, so-so transmission.... Same with all non-amg C-classes. If you like driving, Stick with BMW, or a c43/63)
