I'm seriously contemplating taking a software development boot camp to make a career change. For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? I noticed the universities are a bit more expensive but is it worth the price to have a university on your resume or does it not really matter?

In a bind. Needing help folks... I’m moving to a high col city and two cars is going to be hard 😫.. I have a 330i touring (for practicality, daily) and a Porsche 993 c4s (fun, weekend.. kills me to sell this car).
Together both are worth 120-140k.
What would you get if only one car?

It's sad that public accounting is used as a stepping stone. It's a great job, but working 60-70 hours a week is not acceptable. Just because you did it (management) doesn't make it justifiable.

How do you not care / stress way too much about your job? I am a mom and stressed out most workday evenings thinking about the work / interactions during the day. I have heard TEd talks about compartmentalizing job vs personal life , mindfulness etc , but I don’t change. I could literally leave my job & focus on kids alone & be fine as husband is in a executive position. Yet, it’s my own career focus & my self induced stress and pressure that takes a toll on me. What’s your advice for me?

Should I be mindful about how much I’m spending or should I blow up the budget until someone says something?
