Should I discount the HSW + M7 odds admissions consultants give me? I’ve done the free consultation options with a few firms (Menlo, MBAmission, Stacey Blackman) and they are all saying that I have a serious shot at Stanford/HBS and near-guarantee at M7. Ethics aside, is it a good strategy to say your post mba goal is one thing when it’s another? My story is perfect for continuing in consulting, very low risk, but I really don’t want to do consulting anymore and would prefer to join a hedge fund/VC but I don’t think my path is as clear there

Hey all, I’m shooting for HSW and M7 schools and recently got a 730 on the GMAT. Slightly disappointed because thats what I diagnostic’d and have been consistently hitting 760+ on mocks. Given a weaker UG background and ORM, is it worth it to retake the GMAT especially for HSW? I know the average is around 730 for admits but would wager its higher for ORM. Thank you for any thoughts!
