Tata Consultancy Hi fishies, I recently interviewed for a Big data dev role for Autodesk but it's via a third party called Applicantz. Initially the contract is for 1 year, which can be extended. There is also scope of Autodesk hiring permanently after 6 months or 1 year. Can anyone provide some reviews about Autodesk and third party Applicantz. Usually I would not have considered anything via a third party, but the company(Autodesk) seems great and work discussed seems good as well.

whatever you do don't live in South Shore District. really nice apartments but management is god awful. Cole apartments is in a good location and price is pretty good. dont live in the new high rises downtown or around rainey - super overpriced for a city like austin. ps. you can rent your apartment out during sxsw or acl, and make $10,000+.
OP: there are other solid options besides downtown. Is it downtown or bust for you?
I'm a mid-20s, single male.
I'd set an alert on Zillow right now and try to score a loft/condo straight from the owner. With that being said there are plenty of luxury apartment buildings. It all depends on your budget. Under 2200 you'll have to sacrifice some amenities and/or be on the edge of downtown. To be right in the action you're looking at 2200+ but probably more which I'm guessing is peanuts compared to Brooklyn
Lots of new stuff going up. Rainey area is cool.
SkyHouse on Rainey is really nice and so is Milago if you can find one of their condos listed on Zillow. I was not a fan of Windsor at the Lake at all.
Check out SoCo on the Lake or Watermarq on riverside! Close to downtown and has lake views
Thanks so much for the responses so far! And I'm more concerned with being in a lively, walkable place, with restaurants and bars.
You should check out the Domain. That's the new and upcoming area. Domain North has loads of stuff and several bars from downtown have duplicated.
