I’m returning back to work this week from maternity leave and wondering what to do as far as nursing/pumping. Our 5 month old isn’t on a schedule right now and nurses on demand (every ~2 hrs or so). My husband will be watching him for the next few weeks, followed by a nanny so I could continue nursing. Do you think it would be better to try and put baby on a schedule and block off time for nursing? Is it realistic to nurse on demand while working? Switch to pumping?

I left auditing for an accounting manager role. My company is in the medical device space and, in working on monthly close tasks, I notice that some sales people do very well. I know sales is more commission heavy, but part of me still thinks about the “what if” I was able to switch. In getting to know some salespeople, they seem to come from all types of backgrounds, from business to public health. I have limited knowledge in the medical space, but I’m willing to learn. I’ve been at my job 3 years which is relatively short compared to others on my team. I feel like I have to work twice as hard to achieve near or equal level of recognition. Within S1 I was ranked as “average” when I’ve had greater responsibilities and successfully managed more complex projects. I want to live in a quaint cottage in an Irish seaside village easy access to Galway or Cork. I just want a simple quiet life with my spouse. Garden and bake pies. Hike or bike along the Irish countryside. Travel and experience other cultures. This is my dream. Everyone thinks I’m weird that I’m not after the 2 million dollar home with a pool like they are. Why is my dream weird and unattainable. They think I set a low bar. All I need is a job where I can work remotely.
