How do MBB/T2/big 4 firms compare on non salary benefits ? Key data points I personally find important are:
- Transport support (season tickets etc)
- housing subsidy
- private healthcare/ dentists
- food
- office facilities (gym/shower/sleeping pods)

One thing I wonder is when these politicians who misled British people into brexit would be bold enough to tell the truth that it’s not working. The U.K. doesn’t have to be a high tax country but it is because we have basically closed off ourselves. Imagine the self-inflicted harm. Even the OBR says increase in net migration must be a crucial part of GDP growth. But the conservatives don’t know how to broach the subject because their campaign manifesto was built on reduction in net migration. The conservatives have destroyed this country. And I am skeptical that labour would be better.

Get out. The mix of Brexit, interest rates, demographics, etc is pretty bad for the UK. Medium term things will be bad and even worse in the long run

Netherlands or the Scabdinavian countries are good too. Close to the UK, you can work in English there, and the job market is quite dynamic

I am finding it hard to justify continuing to live here over the medium term
This makes it more real
After Brexit I moved to the US. Sad because it’s home, but the economic outlook because of Brexit looks bad relative to what it would otherwise have been.
People are preoccupied with trade in goods now, but when you have an economy 10x larger moving to closer alignment on services too, then we’re really going to feel outside the tent.

Completely screwed unless a comprehensive trade deal is struck with the US and Canada.

Yes, but the UK has no power in these trade deal negotiations. The US and Canada are going to ask for A LOT in exchange of these agreements.
Look at the Australia deal. Basically no advantage for the UK, but lots of concession to the Australian farming sector, which will negatively impact British farmers.
I would advise you to go to a rich country, like UAE, Saudi, Bahrain. Plenty of expat jobs there and have had many friends do it and love the experience. The West is in terminal decline, don’t wait around for things to improve and definitely don’t fall for the meme of going to the US- trust me it’s worse there.

West in decline. LOL
Dang, it’s sad but sobering to see the comments here. Where would you guys go if you could choose??
Hop for more pay - preferably a large company and look into secondment to see what’s out there!
A few moths back a friend said over drinks that the country has been in terminal decline since 2012.
I want to believe it was just a drunk waffle 😶
The sunny uplands of politically motivated perpetual austerity and Brexshit.
I am an EU expat who has just taken a large mortgage here. I kind of regret it. This country has no future in the medium-term.
