Avoiding the subject of the entire US being on fire:

I kind of enjoyed the new Netflix series “Space Force”. It has its slow moments, but it also has times where I laughed so hard, I couldn’t breath. It also helps that John Malkovich is brilliant.

Be patient and let the character develop.

I thought it was funny as hell, but it may have been a little too accurate of a military parody. It was like watching the Duffel Blog.

SC1 - I do not have a military background. But I love dry humor. And this show feels as dry as the desert to me.

Really trying to like it. Sticking it out

Yep...

This is an amazing cast and crew behind this project, but a couple episodes in, and I am still not in love yet. Will try to watch the rest of the season to see if it improved

Every line of sarcasm should be delivered by Malkovich.

It was so funny. John Malkovich is brilliant. The actor playing AOC is brilliant. Them not addressing the reason behind lisa kudrow’s incarceration was kinda funny. I dont understand why the show is getting so much hate.

john on billions!

I watched the first episode. There were a couple good laughs and the rest was kinda cringey. Sounds like it doesn’t get much better

Go past Ep 1. It is very funny.

Idk. I was excited for it, but it's been a disappointment so far. Not saying it's a bad show, but it's def not one I'll be excited for the next season for.

What r the performance scenarios u will consider ?

FIRE folk, do you contribute to a traditional IRA, with the expectation that your income will be lower when you finally hit FIRE and hope for that ~10 tax, so you'll do ladder conversions later or do you do direct Roth or backdoor Roth conversion contributions now? I don't mind the Roth contributions now, but I truly believe we'll have less income when retired. No kids now, but planning to in a couple of years.

Job stressing me out and working late nights often. I’ve recently passed my 6m probation and want baby soon as I’m currently 34. Would you: 1/ quit and focus on being healthy and getting pregnant (hubby can financially support) 2/ ride it out and quit after your maternity leave?

I’m joining Accenture Federal soon and had some questions about parental leave. First, is there a minimum timeframe you have to work for Accenture before they let you take maternity/parental leave. Secondly, in the recruiting brochure maternity leave is separate from parental leave. Can you take both of you are the primary caretake for a total of 4 months?

I’m totally empathetic to people that miss offices and traveling. I understand your reasons why, I truly do.

For me personally, after non-stop weekly travel for 4 straight years, not traveling has made me realize how much I enjoy being home. Spending time with family, sleeping in your own bed, consistent exercise schedule, etc.

I for one hope consulting becomes more of a hybrid travel model (i.e. travel 1-2x per month or as needed). Else it won’t be for me.

Anyways, just some thoughts.
