I'm interested in breaking into PE / VC. I understand that VC requires less of finance and more of people skills, and business analysis. So instead, I want to equip myself properly so I'm better positioned for PE roles too.

But... I'm a finance noob. What topics should I learn / start from scratch to get 'PE' ready at least wrt finance? Is CFA L1 important in terms of subject matter?

And please ignore the entry barriers etc for this. Just want to get an idea.

I feel weak. I’m not (work out 3-5 days/week, strength and cardio mix, eat relatively healthy with protein, veggies, and 1 glass of water almost every meal) but I feel like my body hurts more than usual. Wfh for almost 2 years certainly hasn’t helped and with the omicron variant, I’m finding myself inside more than I have been the past 4-5 months. I’m basically going from sitting all day to working out then back to sitting. How do you stay “strong”?

Looking for advice on how to deal with team constantly buying unhealthy "snacks" (donuts, cookies, candy) that just sit in the team room with us all day and it's so hard to not eat. I know ultimately it's my responsibility to resist but it's maddening how much harder it is when the food is right in front of you.
