Ask yourself how many competitors they have and if America likes the idea of a monopoly

How will they not bail out Boeing? C’mom.

It’s almost certain but the sector is looking at and will need a $200 Billion fund, you don’t think it’s an attractive stock ?

If a bailout happens, stock will go skyrocketing back up. I’m personally waiting for like $30

like

Yes I think that’s how much their assets are worth. $30-$40. This is worse than 9/11 and 2008 for the airline industry. It’ll tank and rise periodically with bailout rumours.

Company has no sales now, the only thing keeping it going is military contracts.

$130 is just a number, already $105 today 🤷‍♂️

Why are they bailing out Boeing? How do you separate the bad acts re: 737 MAX from reduced demand due to COVID19? The market still needs to punish them for MAX in my opinion.

I think you need to separate the company and their equity. Sure Boeing isn’t going away - that’s a given. However, the question is does the government allow them to go into some sort of Chapter 11 restructuring that wipes out equity and restructures debt. I don’t think it’ll get to that point but this is getting crazy

like

I hope there’s no bailouts. That’s not how capitalism is supposed to work

Yeah but that's how reality works.

Read 'Too Big To Fail', then come back and argue that bailouts are bad and AIG should've been let go back in 2008.

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Thinking about relocating in a year or two, considering renting out our 55 year old townhouse vs selling. I have some concerns that the bones are pretty mediocre (old plumbing has leaked for me, electrical is aluminum). How would you decide and if renting, how do you budget differently for repairs?

Further context: I already rent out a tiny condo I have by using a property manager, and if I kept this townhouse I'd turn management over to them as well.
