Is it me or does it seem like companies are hiring but not really hiring? For example, you wasted all of that time going through the interview process, completed it, and then they’re putting the position on hold or you had a great interview, they tell you had a great interview, the interviews like you, you had a great answers but they didn’t select you due to “business needs/growth/direction of the company.”

I am thinking of leaving my stable full time job for a contract position (ongoing with no time frame) for a bigger raise (making an exra $20/hour) with a large tech company. I'll still get benefits through Aquent so it's not a huge loss. It just feels risky in terms of being a contractor and the potential for it to end at anytime. Seems like a good opportunity though to get my foot in the door and potentially apply for full time jobs later on

Cleared my first round in HCL on 24th Feb, Second round on 4th March, HR discussion on 8th March, another HR discussion (CTC negotiation) on 24th March. Everytime I am getting a response that CTC is awaiting delivery approval. Now HR is not responding to my calls/mails. Hi! Question. How does your company handle the communication between customers and solution engineers during integration? Do you use Slack, Jira, etc? We are using Slack but some customers won’t use Slack so then it’s bleeding over to other forms of communication that are less ideal. 1) Has anybody experienced "petition abandonment" decision from USCIS? What the chances of getting H1B extension approval (vs denial) after USCIS makes the "abandonment" decision? H1B extension will be filed while I'm in US, but lawyers are saying if I'm out of US, there's risk of "petition abandonment."

2) If I get H1B extension RFE/Denial while outside the US, what options will I have? What is the process and avg. timeline?

Has a doctor ever suggested that you consider a less stressful job? And if so, are you male or female? I am female and have some chronic conditions. Today at a routine check-up with a new physician, he suggested maybe because of my "medical conditions" I think about a less stressful job. I have never received that advice from the specialists I see for those conditions, and I find it unlikely that a doctor would suggest this to a male patient. Does anyone have any insight?
