Balancing work and health. I’m finding it difficult to eat healthy due to an increased workload and less time to meal prep. Any tips for fighting off bad food cravings/stress eating?

Green smoothies! Make a blender full every morning and then drink them all day. Spinach, kale, some frozen fruit, broccoli, a little protein powder... etc.

Try a standing desk if your firm offers one. Anytime I’m feeling restless like I need to eat, I’ll stand or take a lap around the office for a different perspective.

I'm the worst with meal prep. But I find that drinking a lot of tea/water helps the sugar cravings. I also go in and out the back door so I don't pass the candy bowl at reception. And finally, if I want a sweet, I have fruit. Try eating 1000 calories in apples. It's almost impossible. In chocolate? Easy.

Lots of food prep companies out there. Meal dealers, mighty meals, trifecta....

Usually your local grocery store has a lot of prepared meals. Might want to there. I pay the premium of buying things like precut fruit, yogurts, etc. The convenience is a life saver in a billable hour day.

My friend has a food prep company. It’s amazing. Also, there are a lot of healthy, plant based restaurants in dc now, lots of them in and near foggy bottom.

One of my coworkers started complaining that I didn't wear a mask on a Zoom call, because I might "infect the people coming into my house". I had a miscarriage on Tuesday, my first. I didn’t even know I was pregnant. The Dr. was just as baffled by the timing, but here I am. My head is trying to be practical, but my hormones are raging. I feel like a stranger in my own body. How do women do this and work at the same time? I’m a freelancer, I’m so busy at work, I don’t feel comfortable talking to my coworkers about this. I’m trying to just get through the week but am really struggling.

I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am

Hi all. I am licensed in life, accident and health and am looking for new opportunities. I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

Had a my 7 week ultrasound today, confirming I’m PREGNANT after my second medicated IUI!!!! So happy to have heard that heartbeat. There were some oddities on the ultrasound- wondering if any of you have experienced any/all of these and how it worked out (doc didn’t sound alarms, just said we’d keep an eye, but naturally I’m worried):
1. Grapefruit sized cyst on right ovary 2. Unknown object with no heartbeat (maybe a hematoma) in the gestational sac with my baby 3. An empty gestational sac

Hi, looking for some advice. I’ve been a medical assistant for 10 years, and am finishing up my bachelor’s in healthcare management. However finding hard looking for practice or office manager positions, as they’re looking for people with 3+ years of management experience. How can I get an organization to take the chance to invest in me and give me the opportunity to prove I have what it takes. We all have to start somewhere.

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

Rant: I finally got a baby registry started and sent the link to family... and immediately was told all the things I need on there that I don't have (including things I'm opting to just NOT GET, like an electric pump - why is my nursing preference up for debate????). I hate it already. I'm tempted to take it down, buy it all myself and just tell people to start a college fund if it bothers them.

I'm 38, have had 4 miscarriages and the PRESSURE OF THIS PREGNANCY is unreal.
