@IBA1, that’s pretty much exactly my experience as well. The one thing they don’t tell you about PE is that the total hours are the same, but you’re focused and working virtually 100% of them. There just isn’t enough time to look at every deal and there are always more opportunities to look at...
I haven't heard anyone in my group complain about 80 hr weeks. Those are nice - probably actually working 55-70 of those.
It's the 100+ hour weeks, where you're working 75-85 of them, that are brutal for sleep patterns and thus mental health / mood.
Call it 65-90% of the time in office is actually zoned-in work, depending on the week. Note that I'm counting lunch and gym hours as in office non-zoned-in
