Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

I'm essentially a call center employee right now. If I get lucky and do well, who knows, maybe I can work as a prison guard for my next glorified temp labor gig - ahem - I mean management consultancy project
Today I met with CFO to discuss implications of forex volatility on their regional growth plan and whiteboarded a mitigation strategy to localize supply chain. Then chatted with CIO to scope out a cyber risk assessment. Lunch with the VP of Ops and Marketing to talk footprint redesign needed to support shift to multichannel distribution. I'm a glorified hall monitor
I ask a lot of questions with no answers and break up fights

I book meeting rooms, take meeting minutes, organise sharepoint and log issues, risks and change requests in exchange for $117k/year. Complete waste of my mental capabilities and education. Gonna quit soon

It's all I do. I'm probably your manager. Get back to work!
EY3 how on earth do we charge consulting rates for that...
That's really scary. Go back to managing your team!
OP there are far greater complexities in the world of AML than what is being described here. Additionally, we get paid because of the impacts AML has from a regulatory perspective.
Just faking it until I make it
I make people talk to each other and then repeat what they said in different words
I facilitate discussion and then restate their thoughts in different manners
EY 2 - you forgot: copy pasting tax IDs and transaction amounts into a database so the Feds can potentially monitor it
@ EY 4 - I want you to know that I respect you. And you seem like a knowledgeable and rational person. But I would also like to inform you that I despise your chosen area of expertise. Which is fine. It's just not for me.
