Basically accused of supplementing my income with cell phone reimbursement by the expense reviewers 🙄 how bout we just fire some people instead of reading phone bills to save money?

Sure it's cheaper to be on a group plan. That's why my kids are on mine. They're also still in college and not working at the moment. When they graduate and get their "real" jobs, they get their own plan. Same with everything except medical insurance, and then that will be looked at until their 26 to determine who has the best plan for them.

That's how life works when you're an adult. You get to pick up your own bills. Suck it up.

I received the same "this is not a stipend" e-mail from someone in Southbend when only attaching the first page of the cell bill. My reimbursement has been consistently $125 with no push back. I spoke to the lead partner in my office and sent all 12 pages of the bill when resubmitting and received the full reimbursement. Knowing most partner's attitude toward this, I don't think the push back was coming from the partners, but instead a certain expense reviewer in SB on a crusade.

You should definitely tell the partner you are deleting the email app. Will get you far in your professional career

like

I don't understand what the issue is. If you get $50, why are they checking? Did you submit more than $50 for reimbursement?

like

Anyway if I get this kickback this month I'm tellin my PM and partner that I'm deleting the email app from my phone if that's the case

like

What a fucking hassle. Wouldn't it be much easier and cheaper to just have you submit it one time and then you get $50 a month without having to submit anything further? Actually paying someone to audit this seems more expensive than just giving employers $50 without looking.

like

What pissed me off the most was the email. Quote "cell phone reimbursement is NOT a stipend." K

like

I'm about to blow a fuse on our expense people.

like

I got the same "stipend" and "submit first 5 pages" message from them. I'm also on a family plan so I needed to do the math for them and explain that once you take out device and insurance and divide by number of lines, mine comes to $62... therefore I actually deserve the full $50, not that I put it in as a stipend. Those emails back and forth easily cost more than the expense...

like

Wow, I thought we got screwed over when they reduced everyone (partner's included) to $60 a month.

like

For those who want to talk back. Keep drinking the koolaid and letting them walk all over you. You'll show them just how much they need to do to respect you. I swear PA is filled with a bunch of bitches with no backbones.

like

Wait you have to submit your phone bill every month to get the reimbursement? It's not like just an automatic $50?

like

Really grateful PwC just pulls your line into their plan. Haven't seen a phone bill since I started

like

I'm on a family plan so it *looks* like my line is only $20 (after taking out insurance and monthly device payment, which are NOT reimbursable). Planning to move the $130 plan charge to my line and see what happens

like

I got rejected on this one, too. Because they only reimburse for the service, literally nothing else, and my bill didn't have the actual service charges on it because only the account holder gets that bill. So now I have to bother my mom every month to give me the full bill to send them. It's $50 max, but you can't run $50 if it doesn't cost $50, and they're checking the bills a lot more closely to figure out how much the service only costs.

like

Most firms don't even reimburse for seniors and below. Quit complaining.

like

I did that recently and they made me send like 5 pages...

like

That's what you get with a Midwest firm. They are so fucking cheap you have no idea. My practice and group isn't but the overall firm as a whole is omfg.

like

On cheapness though, didn't everyone get an annual bonus? That's not typical. Also, I just took a weekend trip on the Firm that cost over $1,000 and I'm about to be paid out an over $1,000 overnight bonus next paycheck. That's mostly what I find so funny about this, they're playing with pennies on the phone bills instead of pulling back some other benefits.

like

I mean what phone plan in America costs less than $50? It's just idiotic. It would be cheaper to just give a $50 stipend than to waste money auditing it. My company gives $100 toward phone. All you need to do is email the phone bill up front. Then once that's done they keep it on record and you never submit again.

Anyone know of any firms hiring healthcare consultants in the LA / OC area? Thanks!

Hi folks, I need some advice.. I’ve been with my company 18+ years. Over covid I moved to FL from NYC but now my office is reopened 50%. They’ve been expecting me to commute weekly at my own expense. It’s now too expensive to look at resigning a lease in nyc. Should I expect them to pay for anything over 50% since that’s the requirement of in-office time? Or should I cut my loses and move on? The only issue is much less opportunity/pay in FL but I’m going broke for this company
