LA, what's good? I know basically every agency out here had layoffs last year, so is anyone looking to hire a mid-level AD?
There is truly nothing like going through the shock of layoffs and then seeing your closest coworkers still here at the end of the day. Hold you peeps close today folks ❤️ 😔
Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?
I’ve been laid off for 6 months+ looking for senior account management roles in NYC. My background is in digital content strategy, performance marketing, and ecommerce.
HELP! Recently promoted M1, and a very low-performing staff is threatening to go to HR with harassment allegations as a means to protect herself from getting fired. Suggestions?
Heard that you are not likely to get laid off for being unstaffed if you got promoted in the last performance cycle, anyone know if that's true?
Is end-of-year bonus season a lost cause at this point? (In a firm with no layoffs or pay cuts yet).
Risk of getting fired as a new experienced hire in HC with solid 3 ratings and tons of impactful PRD, but on the bench for too long?

I got laid off from my accounting/consulting firm in January and have since been taking a class related to my industry but from a tech angle. I prefer to leave consulting but could stay off the work and work life balance were better. I signed up for this class thinking hiring woods be soft until midyear give or take just wish the class finished. I look on this app and it seems everyone is hiring. Am I missing the boat by not being in a full throttle job search now?
How long and difficult do you think it will be to find a new job if you are laid off in the next couple of months or so?
Layoffs and furloughs thread. What firms are cutting and furloughing? Across all industries.
It is very difficult to do my job and think creatively when I’m living each day in constant fear of being laid off. I’m grateful to have a job, but damn, sometimes I feel like I’m coming apart at the seams. Happy Saturday, everyone.
Is it a bad idea to get a new job this period? My firm is not talking about layoffs at the moment. Has anybody moved from their somewhat secure job?
Unfortunately was just laid off. I’m taking this as an opportunity to look forward to new experiences and people to work with. If anyone knows of any Producer gigs, I’m now available. I’m agency side.
Why did Deloitte’s federal practice have layoffs? Given that the clients are large government entities. I can understand it happening in commercial but federal makes no sense
Was laid off by D 2 years ago. Was reached for a position by a recruiter and have final rounds soon. Is this a joke, would they really hire me again? Note I was in Advisory new job is for Consulting.
Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.
Some states are cancelling testing for the year. Do you think COVID could be the end of standaridized testing?
What are my fb peeps doing / going during this holiday season. I want to head somewhere last week of December. Need suggestions.
What do you want to know? I'm interviewing a fellow ADHDer about overcoming struggles in the workplace. We're talking about how to be successful with ADHD at work. What should we discuss?
All creatives are lazy and hide under the notion that “it’s okay we’re creative and that’s just how we work.” Step up. Be professional. Hit your deadlines. Work collaboratively. I’m so sick of the whining about planners, clients, budgets. Do your job. You want to go paint then go paint.

I recently joined Deloitte and while going through work productivity benefits I found out that Interns and contract hires are not eligible for reimbursement of furniture. How do I find whether I am a full time employee or contractual?? Ps: my offer letter did not mention any such thing as intern or contract
For those of you that have had COVID, how long did you wait before returning to work? (remotely) Still feeling a bit clammy and my back is super achey but overall much better than I was a few days ago. Just curious when others said “good enough” and started working.
My Kellogg interview is in a couple days but I haven’t received a zoom link yet. Should I contact them tomorrow?
Would you call it a solid career foundation if you have been at Deloitte for 10 years starting from an Analyst to being a Senior Manager? What would be possible career paths? No MBA
Is it normal for a Partner to tell me “you know this will delay your promotion by 6 months” a day before my STD for mental health reasons? (P.S. He assumed I took the leave for mental health reasons although I never mentioned that to him). He also said “people like you leave and never come back so make sure you talk to your sponsors before making any decision, there are people who are excited to work with you”.. the conversation is on replay in my head
I have interviewed w/ every member of an early stage start up & have an offer to join as their 1st hire. I just don't trust their technical co-founder to be able to execute or attract the right talent, so I'm going to walk away from it. I trust the other co-founder though and want to be honest. Should I be blunt when saying why? Would anyone here have actually appreciated to hear this if you were in a leadership position at a start up, or is co-founder status too late to make a change anyway?
I got the J&J vaccine (only one I could get back in April) and unlike the MRNA vaccines, it looks like there is very little data on how it performs against the Delta variant. Any other J&Jers out there feeling a little nervous?
Hi Fishes, I have an interview next week for a Client Partnerships Manager role at a large entertainment company. The focus would be a client partner for Tech, QSR & Finance clients. Can you all provide any insight or tips into this role whether you've done it or partnered with someone who has. Also, what do you consider the media & marketing process to be? And is QSR mean quick service restaurant. I come from the CPG & sale world. Thanks for any input. - repost across bowls
