I am thinking about making a pivot to cloud/cloud security. I attempted the CCSP but unfortunately I didn’t pass. I plan on taking it again and then getting some AWS certs to follow. Do you think this is the best path into cloud? If not, what do you think would be a better path to cloud?

Need some advice on my next career move. I'm 31, have an MBA and am currently a SC in Risk Advisory with no M&A experience. I am good at risk consulting work but don't find it very challenging or interesting. That said, I expect to get promoted to M next year.

Recently, I interviewed with another Big 4 firm for SC in CDD M&A team and have got an offer. I enjoyed doing the CDD case study, and I believe I'd do well in the role.

Does it make sense to start afresh in M&A at this stage?

How is work life balance for Manager role and what is the salary band for Manager position?

I keep hiring sales people who are super enthusiastic and overpromising on what they deliver. I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. We experienced sales people are asking for a base and commission but I’m scared that I’ll end up having a base and the same thing will end up happening. What am I doing wrong?

For those of you at larger firms, who handles title & survey review on your team? Is it something the junior / mid level associates handle, or do you have specialized paralegals that do the initial review?

Contracting fees - how did you come up with them? I figured out a baseline that I would need, but is nearly half of what my friend charges for freelance. am I missing something?

Is 5 YOE considered entry level or associate? When I apply to associate level jobs I get nothing but rejections. And all the entry level jobs call for new grads or people with under 3 YOE.

Hi all! I would love to hear from this group how to get over the part of feeling so intimated my 1 out of my 3 executives. He is my hiring manager so my heavy one, when we meet for our 1:1 i get so nervous to say the wrong things, look dumb. When our 1:1 ends it reminds me how much i don’t like supporting him but it’s not him being rude or anything he’s just very dry and direct but ends with humor. Just venting i guess i don’t know if this EA life is for me to be quiet honest specially in tech

Anybody here work in Canada? Specifically Vancouver? The cost of living here is outrageous, and I feel like I don't have a fair compensation. I'm currently making $75k with a $5k bonus as an EA with 6+ years experience, and 5+ years experience in my company's industry. Our company doesn't give out yearly inflation raises, so I feel like I'm falling behind. Is this fair, or should I be going after more? Can anyone in Vancouver, Seattle, Canada etc. shed some light on their salary?
