BCG pymetrics result is not accurate at all and very opposite to my MBTI result - pymetrics says I’m a risk taker, not experimental in learning, working equally hard on all tasks, and using my gut to make decisions. I don’t think I’m a consultant material based on pymetrics😅

Question to MBB interviewers. I have a couple of interviews coming up and want to understand the process better and manage my own expectations. Could you please share your personal experience: 1/ what % of interviewees are obviously not a good fit - when after the chat you just know that they are wrong for consulting 2/ % made major mistakes in case 3/ what % are kind ok w case and fit, but are not good enough 4/% that are good enough (with minor flaws) 5/ great and you know that they will fit

What are the chances of lateraling from BCG as a principal to McK/Bain as an ~AP equivalent? I’m a BCG lateral hire in the US that was just promoted but almost never get to work in the industry where I have the most interest/expertise. McKinsey 🐠, any intel on the Practice Manager role? I've had a phone screen and been invited to interview, but I know little about the role. Sounds mostly internal, but they can deploy PMs to projects if needed. How is pay and WLB? Is this kind of role suitable for people with top 10 MBAs and client facing consulting experience at a non-MBB firm?

Are there certain industries that lend themselves closer to pure strategy projects? For example, i’ve found in Fin services less strategy and more ops work due to nature of the industry whereas life sciences feels closer to pure strat given product launches, market entry work, etc… any thoughts on the MBB side?

I have 1 YOE in strategy consulting at a Big 4, planning to apply for BA/AC roles at MBB. I’ve read they prefer you to list test scores on the application. I’ve never taken the GMAT, so is my ACT still ok to include even though it’s nearly a decade old? 99th percentile fwiw
