What is the expected CTC for C12 - AVP Grade at 11.6 Years of total experience. Role is equivalent to Project Manager
A gentle note: Many people posting here are not recruiters nor career counselors. I am happy to provide a referral to a role that you may be interested in, but I don't have the expertise (nor the time tbh) to sort through all of my company's listings to find the right one(s) for you. If I post a link to my company's career page, you should do your own legwork and search for the roles you want and then ask me to refer you to those roles.
Has anyone ever had any luck applying for a hybrid job and convincing them to let you work fully remote? I'm seeing a lot of hybrid postings for my role but not a lot of fully remote ones.
What compensation should I ask for? The role is for a solutions architect in Chicago. I have 4 total years of experience.
I looked on Glassdoor and found a wide variety of numbers. It is for a boutique services firm.
Hi all, any openings for manual/functional testing at Finastra Trivandrum?
Please help. Thanks in advance 😊😊Finastra
I have a bit of an ethics question. I’ve accepted a job and start in a couple of weeks, but then my dream job at my dream company came available. Would you entertain interviewing with the dream job or would you hold off until you’ve been at the other company for 6mos-yr? I’m not one to burn bridges, but the other company/title/leveling is my ultimate longtime goal, whereas the accepted position is at a startup with growth opportunity (title is ok, pay/growth are stellar). Thoughts?
I've been in manual testing for 80% of my career. Despite attempts to transfer into a more code-centric role, I never got the opportunity to do so. Now that I'm in a management role, I feel like it's too late to enhance my programming skills.
Suppose I want to transition into a developer role, will self-study be sufficient for passing the necessary requirements for coding jobs? Lately, I've been learning python and using what I learned by solving problems at leetcode.
Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? I have only worked in SNF and acute so I am new to HH plus this company specializes in lymphedema therapy. I am a CLT but want just a little but of training.
I recently got interviewed at Salesforce for position of Lead Automation Solutions Engineer and they extended an offer. FYI,I did some initial negotiation and the package looks like this;
Total Pkg - 255K(Base - 136K,MBO - 9K,Commision - 49K,RSU - 60K/4year).
Is there any room for negotiation or did I already hit the roofline?
Appreciate the insights. Thanks.
Heya, I am looking for a senior/staff optical engineering role in the tri-state area or remote position. I got an offer on Long Island for 120k that seems a bit low for NY, had better offers in Michigan and other low cost living states :/
OFFER HELP: Currently an L5 PM at Amazon making $80k (I came in as L4 hourly and we all know how tiny the bumps are). Just got an offer from Facebook (Meta) for a program manager role, base is 125k. Can someone help me negotiate when I’m already so blown away by and grateful for this offer? I know I’m supposed to, but given everything that’s going on in the world right now, I know I am IMMENSELY privileged already and it feels so greedy to ask for anything else.
I want to move to LA. What’s the typical salary for a recruiter with 2 years experience in Los Angeles or surrounding.
Also if you’re hiring - message me :) I’m a diverse recruiter.
Hi all, i have got an EY offer last December and now it's been 6 months. Can I apply for EY openings again now ?
I have been in the retail industry for 7-8 years and I want to change careers paths. I don’t want to be in the retail industry anymore. It’s so frustrating and the jobs do not pay enough. I have an associates degree in Business Management, customer service experience, experience in Microsoft Suite, Etc. Is anyone hiring in the DC-metropolitan area?
I've been offered a new role and need advice.
I'd go from VP marketing to Director sales enablement. It's a tech startup. Base stays the same at 74k cdn, but commission moves from .1% of total company rev to 1.5% plus % increases for exceeding targets. All sounds good, but I'm being pressured to answer in 24hrs. Seems odd. They also won't give me equity because of "tax complications" with it being a UK company and I'm a Canadian employee. Bonuses are supposed to make up for that. Thoughts?
Been offered a Sr. leadership position making significantly more money at a different company. I’m relatively new to this field, so I’m not sure I should take the leap. Also worth mentioning I do not get along with my current boss and my current role is newly created so they haven’t given much thought to what my career trajectory would look like . On the other hand I am learning a lot and I really like the company. Any opinions here?
My USI office location is different from the office location of all my other team members. Once work from office starts, will they ask me to shift to the office where my team members are co-located? I'm an analyst in GPS btw

Please advise on where should I be looking at now to enhance my career and technical skills. FYI I am not keen to learn coding and DevOps. I have been in database background since beginning

Hello, I am having my first connect with recruiter at Amazon for modernisation Architect role next week. It is scheduled for 30 min. Could anyone throw some lights on how the first connect looks like. Do I need to prepare in terms of behavioral questions(which I seen quite a lot in everyone's post) . Thank in advance you for your support.

For those who landed their MBB offer on the second or later try, what did you do in the year in between tries to keep up and polish your casing and behaviourals? Anything you did differently?
Between @BCG and Bain which one do you think is better for an associate consulting role in the Operations/Manufacturing sector?
Do not pick Deloitte over BCG lmao
You’ll be at 175 base at bcg with 12-25% bonus within 12-18 months. You’ll be making more than at Deloitte pretty quickly
What was you level and OP when you left Deloitte for BCG?
By FAR pick bcg. Also consider maybe staying 3 years so you can exit with PL title.
Honestly take the money
Always consider the value of the brand name. BCG will open more doors for you going forward. People see MBB and automatically assume positive things, etc. Deloitte is a fine name but no where near MBB. It doesn't matter the practice Deloitte may be stronger in the tech but most people don't know that. And at your level the difference in expertise is negligble. The brand name is in a way an intrinsic value that isn't quantified for you on your immediate comp but it is way more than the 30k extra Deloitte is paying
I think people overrate how much value MBB has for tech, it’s definitely more skilled based recruiting. I beat out multiple MBB people for my job. That being said in this case take BCG, cuz 30k isn’t huge, if the delta was like 70-80k I’d say go with D
Super role/function dependent. MBB has zero value-add in SWE/data roles and the like. But in other areas has significant value - evident from friends/colleagues who have exited to more business/strat related roles
BCG, ex Deloitter here.
Pick BCG, dont look back; ex-Deloitte now at McK.
Definitely like the culture and intellectual challenge more. Travel for what I do hasn't been every week.
Unfortunately you will probably not get a nuanced answer to "MBB vs non-MBB" questions on this app. We lean pretty heavily into old-world prestige here, as you can see from the replies.
I'd say if you're going for a S&O role in tech, BCG will probably be better. If that's not your plan, you should probably provide more information to get a better answer
How do you even ask this lmao
B5 - I hope you are not as biased in your thinking for your project work.
