That’s why I find them silly. Those that know, already know. Those that don’t, still don’t and for the vast majority they are irrelevant.

What is BDO?

That’s an aggressive post……part of me is in awe of it and the rest is lmao! And I’ve been with Andersen, GT, and now CR….. so I do have pretty good perspective!

I have about 120k in stocks and funds, with 4K in my checking, and 20k in my 401k. Is it too early to buy an apartment? Is buying a place in the 400k ballpark too risky? Live in DC.

I got selected for interview stage at a FAANG... Even before interviewing, the recruiter is asking for my comp expectations. I dont want to throw out numbers and ranges, but looking for advice here on how do i structure my response to let them know i would like to have a competitive salary as per industry standards (i know for a fact that their base salaries are 30 to 40% more than what i make now ($137k). The reason i dont want to let them know what i make now is so that they dont lowball me

Now that the Uber Card is changing it’s terms for the worst. Any recommendations on a new credit card? Would prefer no annual fee, but needs good return on restaurants, travel, etc. or a combo?

What would you do? I’m 31 and don’t have any debt except a car note. I’m maxing out my 401k, Roth IRA and have an emergency savings. No kids or spouse, just a pup. Very conservative spending habits - I don’t care about materialistic items and was raised by immigrants so I’m not a big spender Like everyone on here, I spent much of the last 10 years committed to grad school, work, and building up my career. I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor by buying my dream condo, which is also located

Hey any suggested way of how i should split my investment post 401k max out n IRA? Say i have 50k in saving then around 15k in HYSA, 20k in S&P500 and 15k in stocks? Something on these lines as in what is suggested

Anyone at a T2 or MBB willing to look over my resume? Currently have 2 YOE in gov consulting and am trying to move over to commercial, but am not able to get interviews even with solid work experience + education. Would love any feedback — TIA!

Any thoughts on praying in the office? I’m in the London office and because of some confident bothers, we were able to use conference rooms to pray. Now in my new firm, I’m the only Muslim and so when I do go in, find it hard to find a place. I don’t want to announce it and make a big deal, just want to pray quietly, otherwise I’d have to save my salah for home. WFH has changed this in such a good way but wanted to see if anyone has similar experience or tips?

I just turned 30. This last year of my life, I had a laser focus of being more financially discipline and paying off my 20k+ debt (loans, credit card, etc). And with this paycheck hitting tomorrow I will finally be “out of the red.” I don’t usually make these type of posts, but seeing other success stories like this posted in FB inspired me. Hopefully this will inspire at least one of you.

Doing some dead boring shit. But working with a great senior manager who promises to pull me up if I stick. But counsellor advises to roll off and find something aligned to me. Opinion? I'm jus staff1
