Hi all! I am former federal government. I resigned due to lack of opportunities and growth. I am interested in a couple of Apple service roles within Pay, Care and SDS. Also, Amazon PM roles under Music, Live Sports and Brand Protection. However, with to the current economic conditions is it smarter to focus on fed roles versus Tech. I’ve never had a Tech role. I have a BS Mechanical Engineering and MBA. Any advice would be appreciated.

Am I the only one that wants BDO and RSM to merge and form BDSM
Shit D1, I typed BDSM to google search on the work laptop 😡

Depends on who you are and where you are. I haven't met an exec I didn't like yet.
Come to EY, you'll love it here!
She was in one of the southeast offices working in tax. It was a really bad environment. I felt so bad for her but now she has interviews lined up in NYC with a bunch of other firms.
Agreed with KPMG1. I worked way more hours at BDO than I do at EY. But when I started, I picked BDO over RSM. The firm that RSM bought out in my area, the namesake of the former firm and he was the office managing partner wanted to give me an offer but said he had to check with recruiting first. I got one and ultimately turned it down to go BDO and the recruiter whined to me on the phone going "whyyyy would you pick someone else over us?!" BDO was great to get exposure to every part of the audit quickly but the hours and lack of appreciation of hard work burned me out and it's ultimately why I made the switch to advisory and left BDO.
I'm RSM. I love the people I work with and they're really the driving factor in choosing a firm to me because you spend so much time with them. That said, I have a friend in tax in my same office that hates the people she works with. So it really depends unfortunately.
I didn't know what that is...
Gotta love the anonymousity of this app
Well MA 1 isn't gonna be so anonymous anymore when the company finds out there are viruses on the company laptop 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've been at BDO for 3 years and love it
I've heard that RSMs culture sucks. My friend started in October and already quit cuz the execs were that bad
1- RSM has a much bigger presence where I am, which is probably the main reason I picked them. 2- I think our culture is fantastic, but the only firm I can compare it to is a different top 10 firm where I interned (I like RSM better). 3- I haven't been exposed to the execs, and I haven't really formed an opinion on them, so I can't comment on that aspect.
please tell us about your benefit packages
Bdo has worse hours than KPMG. I transferred after 1 year
Wtf why would you do that^
How are the managers and partners?
The managers and partners will depend on the location. The office I was at they were great during internships. Then office management has slowly started changing so the culture was starting to change too a bit. It's all about the location and the people for you to make your decision.
