How does PERMs work for non-technical, common roles? Like I know there’s a lot or people who’d want to work for big 4 or tech firms (ex. Tech firm senior auditor roles, there’s probably a lot of applicants with similar backgrounds) - in this case I find it hard to believe that they won’t find a qualified applicant since those roles are so popular / experience standard is not as rigorous.. is it common for PERMs to fail?

Interviewed to the final round at a buzzy tech startup. Multiple rounds of interviews, hours and hours spent appearing, preparing, etc. and rather than receive the rejection or offer I should have received by the end of the week as promised I get a “candidate experience survey” email at 3am todayfrom an @noreply email. Wtf is wrong with some people? Do startups low key treat people like fungible robots like law firms? I’m starting to respect big companies that have the courtesy to say “denied.”

I had a interview for Human resources assistant position yesterday and while screening me. The lady mentioned that the position has already been filled as of yesterday but they still want to continue my screening for the future. I told her that we can continue if there are similar job opportunities open which there is another position but it has "ALSO" been filled as of today. I was just so irritated. First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. I’ve been thinking of making a switch from audit to TAS. I’m currently a S1 (2 busy seasons experience), and rated as a top performer at my firm. I’m contacted by Kroll, but recruiters there told me that since I haven’t got any TAS experience, I should be applying for their Analyst role instead of Senior Associate. Honestly, I want to switch to TAS but not that desperate to leave my firm. Anyway, I just wonder if you guys have the same situation and usually how long it takes to get promoted?
