It’s my gf’s bday next week. She is starting grad school soon and needs a new laptop (she has an old PC). I wanted to give her ~$300 towards a new MacBook, but felt that was a bit impersonal. How come a therapist can tell someone: you are not able to love because of your past trauma? And they ask them to stop being/progressing in a relationship until they heal? While what I felt from that person were genuine feelings! Very genuine! All i wish is to see this person healed, happy and healthy but this hurts soo much!……anyone had a smilar situation or a therapist could explain more?
