Life hack: don’t judge people based on what they own 👩⚖️
Another life hack - don’t think of it as owning anything - everything is on loan and can be taken away or lost.
I trust anyone with a Honda or Toyota by default

I’m gonna ram into your Accord
I’m more likely to judge someone negatively for driving a luxury car than a cheap one.
Gm1 great choice
Chief
Only if they drive this
I don’t care about it at all. I make 300k+ a year and drive an old Mazda.

Are your clients peering out from their windows to spy on what car you drive?

If it’s a Ford Focus, I immediately dislike you. All others may carry on.
I dislike white Ford Explorer owners; forcing me to slow down as I try to figure out if its an unmarked NYPD car or not
Chief
Nope, but I do judge how clean the inside of the car is cause some are 🤢
Chief
Not by brand.
But I do notice and ingest how someone takes care of their vehicle, inside and out.
I’ve driven a slew of diff cars and I’ve owned anything from an old beater Accord to my current car (tech a luxury car, I guess).
As long as you take care of your car and it’s reliable to get you where you need, that’s all that matters.
Your car doesn’t define your personality or your worth (net or other).

I only judge people who drive a Prius

As long as they stay out of the left lane, Priuses are chill
They’re surprisingly REALLY fun to drive
My biggest financial mistake was buying a BMW in my 20s. It broke down so often and you were forced to go with expensive mechanics within their network or risk voiding car warranty.
So why did I do it? Wanted to feel rich, especially appear rich to my haters. But I went broke doing so.
An independent mechanic once told me if these ‘luxury’ cars didn’t exist, he wouldn’t have predictable recurring income.
Now in my 30s grossing 400k in household income and financially better off, I drive a Toyota. I couldn’t be happier.
I could buy an expensive car if I wanted.
But I invest my money in smarter places, and if I want to spend it, then on experiences like travel and food. Those will leave you with better stories and a lifetime of memories.
Even if I need an expensive car, I can easily just rent it for a day or a weekend.
Im with VP 2: if we’re now leasing iPhones then why are we still buying cars? I admit , I resisted leasing cars for most of my young adult life and now in middle age I realize it’s so much more convenient because the dealership takes care of any necessary maintenance and I get to to try out different model cars and can comfortably afford luxury vehicles this way without being stuck with expensive maintenance bills for the life of the car. Don’t judge those who don’t drive luxury cars but I do like mine cuz they’re fun to drive and feel very safe
Yeah like pimped pick up trucks or poorly tuned old vehicles (just for making noises)

This!! I immediately judge and I don't feel bad about it. That's a choice, and a pretty inconsiderate one.

If they're driving an entry level "luxury" car I will judge them hard.
If they are driving a normal car or a fully-loaded minivan I will respect them.
Why do you even care what a person drives? You judge people on their cars? Heaven forbid you took their personality or integrity into account 🙄
Rising Star
I'm a self described "car guy" and I appreciate any and all cars and brands. No negative judgment here!
Tho I will judge those that look down on others for not buying German luxury cars...
I judge truck owners
I kinda like the new trucks. They are nice. And this is coming from the least likely truck owner
No, unless it’s a Nissan Altima swerving in and out of lanes.
Rising Star
Did Hoodville teach you the ways of the Nissan Altima?
LOL what? This is the mindset that keeps people poor.

I only assume you're smart if you're driving a Lexus.
Why?
Rising Star
I judge guys who add that thing to their car that’s make a super loud noise when they accelerate.
And then they do it on purpose in front of everyone to get their attention…
Please stop, nobody is impressed with you, babe lol
Rising Star
Yes, but not the way you think. Here, driving a BMW or Mercedes almost guarantees you’re a shit driver/ perpetual asshole on the road. Lexus screams upper middle class suburban moms. Tesla means you made use of the tax break
Tesla tax breaks expired in 2019
Rising Star
I do judge anyone who drives a tesla
Teslas became status symbols. When things become status symbols then people will start associating values with ownership even if it was purchased for purely utilitarian purposes.
