Not really. If you’re sick and resting all day or sleeping or on meds, do you really want to be grinding away or attending meetings? A sick day is meant to mean no work obligation because you’re not feeling up to the task.
Hell no

Nope. You can still feel like crap while at home deserve your rest without checking a bunch of emails and messages

To some extent but obviously not completely
I don’t think it will really change peoples behavior significantly apart from reducing the spread of illness in the workplace. The ones who refuse to take a sick day unless they are nearly on deaths door will be able to WFH without infecting others, and the people that sniffle once after waking up and self spiral into sickness will still take the day off, and everything else in between.

I’ve worked remotely for a decade and I’d say not entirely but to some extent. I still work at times that I probably wouldn’t if I was going to an office but when I had Covid, I could barely move. I was truly OOO.
Depends on how sick you are
Some days I wake up feeling exhausted mentally and a sick day makes me soo much better. So they are still important
Nope. If I’m sick, I’m not working.
