Been a system admin and internal consultant for 3 years using Adobe Workfront tool (work management solution). Now I’m at Accenture in ERP technology implementations 5 months in. I hate it here as a Management Consultant. Currently learning Data Science doing the Datacamp bootcamp I also have an MBA in Business Intelligence and Analytics. Where can I go to Program Manager? Product Manager? Data Science? Want to be more tech focused.

Need some guidance, I’m confused.

If you are learning data science and want to use that skill in the role I’d lean towards data science or product manager over program. A lot of program managers aren’t required to be technical.

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

I have limited privacy experience despite being hired for that reason… Have my CIPM and CIPP/US /E and /C. Remote preferred; hubs is pilot with cool intl transfer opportunities. Money isn’t issue.

A sincere advice for people in the age group bracket 22-26 years (max)

Get out of these shit IT corporate world.

Start preparing for SSC CGL(mainly target this exam). There are a hell lot of opportunities if you clear this exam and these jobs provides a lot of job respect in the society.
Even if the salary is 60-70k (starting salary) but the job security and the facilities are simply incomparable with the IT jobs.

Don't waste your time & energy in the ruthless labor market just for money.

1. MSc Management
2. Business Analysis and Consulting
3. MBA (not so easy as I don't want to give GMAT, will select certain colleges that do not need GMAT score)

Background I graduated a semester early and decided to work full timein a different role while waiting for my start date (August ). I’m realizing I like my job way more now than I did in audit. Any thoughts on reneging?

Can anyone please suggest what would be the median salary in SAT for this level. I presume it should be 25 to 30, i am sure this year it is again fake promises and they can't suddenly pull me in this range from 16.5.

Additional Posts in Career Pivot

Hello, I have 4 years of experience between Financial decision support and pricing. However, I feel like my experience is too narrowed to how my current company operates. I am looking to pivot into consulting at one of the big4 ( for ~2-3 years)or any other consulting firm to have a well rounded experience that could be applicable to any industry. Any advices ?or thoughts ?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Thinking of pivoting (in the next few years) from a big4 consulting firm making decent money to something more meaningful (to me) and hands-on but maybe seen as “lower”. I’m willing and able to go back to school or relocate for a new career, and as long as I can pay bills & save some, money isn’t a huge deal to me.

Some (def not all) ideas I’m spitballing:
Forestry services
Bartender
Mechanic
EMT
Seasonal work in national parks
Pilot
Electrician
Radiology tech
