Been A1 for 6 months now and got an offer from a no name IB boutique bank. Pays around 70% higher. Should I take it and forego the big 4 brand name? I’m worried I wont be able to lateral out of the no name firm.

Hey guys! When do you think would be a good time to ask for a internal transfer? Just joined a company but I’m more into advisory or consulting side of things. My company does have a service line in Accounting and Business Advisory, and also due diligence and transaction advisory. But I feel really bad if I tell people I wanna transfer after just a month I started and also I have no idea who I should be reaching out. If I don’t do it now would it be harder later?

I left my firm a week ago. My main reason was the culture (not taking D&I seriously, not a culture of appreciation, lacking vision) but a close second was WLB. Landed a contract role at Deloitte via MBO Partners for an audit senior role. MBO is making me a W-2 employee for MBO, but I am getting paid $125/hour plus overtime. Am I missing something here or am I about to be making $5K/week (or more with OT)? Anyone have any experience with MBO or doing contract work like this? Obviously way more than I'd make if I stayed at KPMG for busy season.
