Work less hours at Deloitte. Don’t do as many firm initiatives
Work more hours at 1.5x
That’s why you should never do the math...
So you don't realize it's not worth it 🤔

That’s 20% less than what I pay my house cleaner (and no, not a joke). You’re grossly underpaid and need to find greener pastures.
You should be easily able to jobs that pay $40-$60 an hour.
Uber Driver used to earn more than this pre-covid. Deloitte is paying their analyst below what Uber Driver earns.
I earn more driving Uber part time post covid. I earn 60-75% of my deloitte salary when considering hours worked
Lol 2000 hours😂

Find a good industry role with decent pay and good WLB. I also did this math when I was in consulting and it was awful. Now I’m at $60+ per hour with <2 YoE

Corporate strategy for a large TMT firm
I don’t know how to count my hours so I assume I work 49 out of the 52 weeks in a year and I get $34/hr ($76,000, commercial expected to charge 9hrs/day). In the grand scheme of things I’ve definitely had a lot of days where I’m not actually working 9hrs, but also some, definitely less but still some, days were I’m working 10-12hrs. So idk. Hard to really put a yearly salary into hourly pay with an accurate picture of what it truly equates to, unless you’re taking your actual hours worked last year, but you can always take more/less vacation, and I’m sure you don’t charge your actual hours you just charge your daily 8/9 like the rest of us
Bonus?
Ask for more money, go to another firm (typically get a better salary by jumping firms), or go to industry
$20/ HR with 2000 hours in a year, would make it around $40k/ year. Is D that cheap?

I don't know any consultants that are working 2000 hours a week. If you assume an avg of 55 hours, 47 weeks of the year, that's 2585 hours.
But yeah, OPs math seems wonky.
Paid the same (or less) at mckinsey
