Been at my current agency since graduating college (3+ years ago). It’s been my introduction into the industry and I feel like I am valued here and have a lot of room to move up, but I’ve been contemplating leaving to explore new opportunities and see how another/bigger agency operates. Curious what thoughts/experiences are like on jumping around or if carving out a place at someplace for a long time is better?

Is there anyway to pass off 2 years of p&c underwriting and 1.5 of management liability underwriting as 3.5 years experience? All at the same company. I want to apply for roles as a senior underwriter.

I’ve spent the past several years as PM on internal systems . I’m interviewing with a healthcare company and the products would be for external clients (patients). This feels like a big step up for me; significant change in budget, expected quality, and industry.

I’ve applied to over 40 jobs since I was laid off in March. Not one click to my portfolio, per analytics. With a family of four, we are being spread thin. Not only is the income desperately needed, but my creative soul needs a release. I would be happy to do typical Art Director work but I’m “over qualified” for that and am never taken seriously when applying for work below CD/ACD.
