I’ve always had a full time job (10 years) and I recently took a job as a contractor/consultant for a bank. It’s a 40 hour week hourly job. Is this considered freelance? I read the other posts and I see people are double dipping taking on multiple contracts, is there other work out there that I can layer onto this job in the off hours? I figured all gigs would be 9-5. Is the reason people do contract work for the $$$ I’m making $75 an hour and not sure what my role would pay if I was FT.

So I’ve finally finished my consulting website for my “side hustle.” Here’s the issue: I have a full time job doing the same thing I’ll be doing as a consultant (strategy.) In the guidebook I signed at my full-time company, the only note re: consulting is that you cannot work for competitors of agency clients.
