Been freelancing for the last year and doing well. I was offered a FT role, but I don’t need it. I’m on the fence if I should take it or keep FL. I have jobs lined up. Is it a bad idea to go FT? FL is the new way now. Most agencies shed a lot of people during the pandemic. It also brought to light that wfh not only works but you can freelance for any agency no matter the location. I’ve been nonstop busy for agencies across the country, and I’ve had to turn down gigs. Only reason I see for FT are the benefits. But that’s not enough for me at this time. Also, there is no such thing as job security with FT in our business. Why rock a smooth sailing boat?

Depends what your priorities are. FL is hard/unstable in the beginning.. after a couple years you can hit autopilot. I personally will never go FT. I love being a soloprenuer.

Been fl a while. That is not a problem. I’m adept at both.

I made a list of the pros for each. Then I applied weight each pro/con. This allowed me to visually see what was important to me. A small reminder. Think of a FT offer as a confirmation that you do great work. Never take them.. say thank you.. “it doesn’t meet my needs”.. and move on. They’ll sometimes come back with more to offer. 😉 I still will never take FT.
