Since no one is hiring junior writers, how about someone take me on as a freelancer or intern?
For those who have recently switched from consulting to industry, what kind of joining bonus are you seeing? It will help if you can state your old position to new position and the joining bonus.
Transition to HRBP - which Cert? I’ve got the time and experience (mostly) to sit for the PHR or SHRM-CP. What are your recommendations based on industry experience. Also note I’m pivoting from a program director role.
Should you stay in a position that has very limited promotion opportunities because of its org structure? We have a relatively small team of various bands of staff level who report to a Director who has no intentions of adding additional mgt layers (understandably). There is apparently growth opportunities on a IC track, but those don’t seem to be granted as often as management promotions. If I want to grow into a more strategic role overall, what other options should I look into/discuss?
Considering a mini pivot from growth/performance marketing to a product marketing role and hoping for a gut check from those who have done both. I'm trying to move away from the transactional culture of growth marketing, which feels like a numbers game. I'm also intrigued by product management and user research, but not ready to invest in that bigger leap, so product marketing seems like a half-step to get more exposure to those teams. Am I on the right track here? Any advice on the transition?
I have two offers, one from pwc for senior associate 2 with 28lpa and another offer from Techm for Solution Architect role with 35.5 lpa. Respected community, please advise me which one I have to opt for considering future progress.
I spoke with a recruiter on December 30th and have not heard a peep from her. I’ve been applying for jobs on my own, which is fine, but I thought the purpose of hiring a recruiter was so I didn’t have to do the job search. Is it too early to find a new recruiter or is this normal?
Have a graduate job offer for Microsoft but it isn't exactly the role I want. Would switching departments etc be easy?

I feel stuck. I’m realizing I joined the right company but the wrong department and role. I thrive in a team and my role doesn’t have that nor is there any one on my “team” near my age. What to do?
Ideas for reaching out to alumni on LinkedIn you didn't know well in regards to a position at their firm? I feel that if I didn't mention the position in the intro email, I would be coming of as insincere. Any one else feel this way or advice to get around this? Thanks!
I interviewed for a job over a year ago and made it to the final round but they went with someone else. The person I interviewed with just posted another position. Do I email them introducing myself..
Cover letters to tech companies. Worth it? Starting to prepare for my exit and wanted to know if fellow 🐠 have an opinion. As a hiring manager in consulting, I don't read them, but don't want to bar the possiblity.

Asking for advice please. I’m making 57k as a Finance Coordinator (2 yrs). My work is a hybrid role: 1) Exec assistant for a C-Level exec, 2) Financial Analyst. I cannot become Analyst now due to an on-going visa application that is going to take about 1-1.5 years. I am very grateful that my company is willing to help me with my visa (around 10k) this year. But I am thinking about asking for 70-75k since living cost in LA is pretty high and sometimes my bank account can be negative. What to do?
Thoughts on ad agency diversity data, now that it’s being released? “Across the entire (Havas) organization in the U.S., 6.11% of employees are Black, 10.8% are Hispanic or Latino and 9.66% are Asian.”
Which schools should I target with a 730 gmat, 3.6 gpa with a business degree from a top 20-25 university, and 3 years experience at big 4 in management consulting? I’m also a white male.
We always talk about diversity as being important, which it is, but if you don’t have diversity of thought what’s the point. We’re selling products to the masses not our very small advertising bubble.
How is airline comp for delays calculated? My flight was delayed like 90 min and I got a $50 voucher out of Delta. But now I’m stuck on the tarmac in line another hour.
The total at DFW Starbucks didn't look right. He gave me the airport discount. Must have thought I was flight crew. #winning
Agencies that have the best social media accounts (their own, not work for a client)? We all already know R/GA wins the twitter war
I had an interview last week for a Jr CW job. All went well it seemed. The CCO’s exact closing words were “You’re gonna have a great career. Your ideas are good”. Additionally, a CD there I contacted on LinkedIn said the CCO liked my book. But he ended by telling me they’re still getting things sorted out and to follow up this week. Don’t know if this is a bad sign I won’t get it or if I’m just being insanely impatient and unrealistic.
Hi 🙋🏼♀️ Accenture moms. Re healthcare benefits: did you select HDHP or PPO plan and why? I’ve been on the HDHP plan for the last few years, which has worked well as I almost never see a doctor, but we’re planning to get pregnant next year and I’m reevaluating my options. How many prenatal apts should I expect? Is PPO better for this? Anything you wish you had known about being pregnant with ACN health benefits?
Any suggestions of midsize SaaS companies to target? Looking for some names outside the ones often discussed here that are high growth and hiring
I’m creating comp benchmarks to make a case to leadership that we need to increase our base pay band for an associate position we’re hiring (I am currently a manager at a tech startup). Would love it if people who recently got an offer from a tech company in the corporate strategy / BizOps team could comment their base offer and YOE (ideally looking for 1-3 YOE comps) and the company. I want to fight to pay my associate more!! Thanks all

Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
